Surprise NYCC Screening and Early Reactions
Marvel surprised New York Comic Con attendees by screening the first episode of VisionQuest to close out its panel, ahead of the series' upcoming October 14 premiere on Disney+. Early social media responses and critic reviews following the lifted embargo praised the series as a worthy successor and conclusion to the WandaVision trilogy, highlighting its exploration of grief, identity, and generational trauma. Cast and Creative Direction
The series stars Paul Bettany returning in his first live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe role since WandaVision, alongside James Spader returning as Ultron. Showrunner Terry Matalas noted that Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige gave the creative team broad freedom, with the primary mandate being a reunion between Vision and his son, Tommy, played by Ruaridh Mollica. The ensemble cast also features Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., James D'Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., and T'nia Miller as Jocasta. [1] [2]
