Marvell Technology Prepares for Investor Day Amid AI Growth

Marvell Investor Meeting Follows Strong Financial Results

Marvell Technology enters its scheduled investor meeting following a strong fiscal second quarter 2027 report that showed revenue increasing 37% year-over-year to approximately $2.74 billion. Data center revenue grew 46% during the period, while adjusted earnings per share reached $0.94 and operating cash flow hit approximately $605.5 million. Management also issued a third-quarter revenue outlook of $3.15 billion, plus or minus 5%. Capacity Expansion and Valuation Metrics

To support high-speed optical connections for AI systems, Marvell expanded a multiyear agreement with GlobalFoundries on September 17 to increase chip production capacity. Despite strong operational growth, the stock trades at roughly 62 times forward earnings, creating high expectations for execution. Regulatory and supply disclosures note that the company relies on a limited number of suppliers, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, and faces potential risks if major customers shift toward developing internal semiconductor solutions. Institutional interest rose during the second quarter, with hedge fund positions increasing from 79 to 96 funds, while short interest stood at 4.18% of the public float. [1]
