Podcast Format and Guests
The podcast will feature the nearly 40-year friends rewatching the original sitcom episode by episode, sharing behind-the-scenes stories, and discussing entertainment, pop culture, and sports. They will also preview the new Netflix sequel series and welcome familiar faces from both the original and new casts. Executive producer and director Debbie Allen is scheduled as the guest for the first episode. [1] [2]
Streaming Revival and Background
The podcast launch coincides with the success of the 2026 A Different World revival on Netflix, which premiered on September 24, exactly 39 years after the original series debuted. Hardison and Bell reprise major roles in the new Netflix series alongside returning cast members, following their prior reunion tours visiting historically Black colleges and universities. [1] [2]
