Retired boxing champion Mike Tyson confirmed during an appearance on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live that he delivered a letter from Sean "Diddy" Combs to President Trump. Tyson stated that Combs phoned him from federal prison to ask for the favor, adding that he "did what he told me to do." Prior reporting indicated that Tyson was handed the pardon request letter by an associate in Combs' inner circle before personally delivering it during a White House visit. [1] [2]
President Trump previously acknowledged receiving a pardon request from Combs via letter, though he stated he had no intention of granting it. Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix following a July 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution, while maintaining his innocence and pursuing an appeal. Tyson also criticized the legal strategy used in the case, pointing to the application of the Mann Act. [1] [2]
