In the book, Douglas recounts having a secret romance with 72-year-old Kathleen Turner while filming 1984's Romancing the Stone in Mexico, during a period when he considered himself separated from his then-wife, Diandra Douglas. Douglas also details a fling with 63-year-old Jeanne Tripplehorn while working on Basic Instinct, noting that he fell hard for her despite a nearly 20-year age difference and was ready to leave his first marriage at the time. Reactions to the Revelations
Regarding the inclusion of their past relationship, Douglas stated that he consulted both women beforehand. He recalled asking Turner for permission on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live, where he noted she agreed to let him share the stories. Turner told People in a statement that she loves Douglas and looks forward to the book, dismissing the attention over a 40-year-old affair.
