San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw told Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton to "get the f–k off the field" following a game between the two teams on Sunday. Greenlaw, who was released by the Broncos during the offseason, stated that his postgame exchange was motivated by disrespect stemming from a lack of communication about his release. [1]
Greenlaw led the 49ers with 12 tackles as San Francisco defeated Denver 24-14 to improve their record to 4-0. Following the game, Payton downplayed the interaction, stating that he thinks the world of Greenlaw and that there are no hard feelings between them. [1]
